چکیده

This paper presents a new CMOS differential voltage-to-frequency converter (VFC) which targets front-end sensor interfacing in wireless sensor network applications. The proposed VFC, designed in a low-cost 0.35 μm CMOS technology supplied at 3 V, achieves high performances: power consumption below 0.3 mW, 0 2V differential input range operation and nonlinearity error less than 0.3 %. Thanks to the introduction of a very simple control circuit, linearity is preserved over variations of temperature: the error is less than 2.3 % over all the frequency range for a temperature range from -40oC to +120oC.

A Temperature Compensation Voltage Controlled Oscillator Using a Complementary to Absolute Temperature Voltage Reference

This paper presents a temperature compensation voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) based on Cross-Coupled pair and Colpitts structures which is suitable for military fields. Also, two inductors have been used for increasing the negative conductance. By using this method, start-up condition has been improved. Two varactors and a simple capacitor bank are applied for covering a wide tunning range...

A Current-Mode Buck DC-DC Converter with Frequency Characteristics Independent of Input and Output Voltages Using a Quadratic Compensation Slope

By using a quadratic compensation slope, a CMOS current-mode buck DC-DC converter with constant frequency characteristics over wide input and output voltage ranges has been developed. The use of a quadratic slope instead of a conventional linear slope makes both the damping factor in the transfer function and the frequency bandwidth of the current feedback loop independent of the converter’s ou...

An Ultra-Low Voltage CMOS Voltage Controlled Oscillator with Process and Temperature Compensation

Process and temperature variations have become a serious concern for ultra-low voltage (ULV) technology. The clock generator is the essential component for the ULV very-large-scale integration (VLSI). MOSFETs that are operated in the sub-threshold region are widely applied for ULV technology. However, MOSFETs at subthreshold region have relatively high variations with process and temperature. I...

A CMOS Current-mode DC-DC Converter with Input and Output Voltage-Independent Stability and Frequency Characteristics utilzing a Quadratic Slope Compe

A CMOS Current-mode DC-DC converter using a quadratic slope compensation scheme is presented. The use of a quadratic slope instead of a conventional linear slope makes a damping factor and a frequency bandwidth of a current feedback loop independent of the converter’s output voltage. Further designing the coefficient of the quadratic slope to be fully dependent of the input voltage, the damping...

A 32nm and 0.9V CMOS Phase-Locked Loop with Leakage Current and Power Supply Noise Compensation

This paper presents two novel compensation circuits for leakage current and power supply noise (PSN) in phase locked loop (PLL) using nanometer CMOS technology. The leakage compensation circuit reduces the leakage current of the charge pump circuit which becomes more serious problem due to the thin gate oxide and small threshold voltage in nanometer CMOS technology and the PSN compensation circ...
